FSPC Main Event (Flight 1B): Recapping Beckley's Rise To The Top

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 20 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 11 (Blinds 800/1,600/200)
Total Flight 1B Entries: 168
Flight 1B Players Remaining: 65

Joshua Beckley (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

On the final hand of Level 10, Joshua Beckley and Ian O'Hara got involved in a pot that was four-bet pre (with O'Hara putting in the fourth bet).  The action was checked by both players on the 10♣ 9♣ 6 flop, with the Q coming on the turn, and O'Hara checking once again.  Beckley put together a bet of 18,500, and after about thirty seconds, O'Hara casually put the call out in front of him.  The board would pair on the river with the 9♠, O'Hara checked for a last time, and quickly called after Beckley verbalized an all-in.

Beckley tabled Q♣ Q, having turned a full house, with Ian's J J♣ getting turned over by the dealer as he walked away from the table.  The 2015 WSOP Main Event runner-up vaulted to third in chips, and hopes to put himself in position to best his last Isle Poker Championship Event results (finishing 14th in the $1,500 Battles At The Beach Main Event - $6,182).

Joshua Beckley - 212,000
