FSPC Main Event (Flight 1B): Taking The Safe Route On The River

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 20 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 6 (Blinds 250/500/75)
Total Flight 1B Entries: 146

Ryan Gianquitti (Lake Worth, FL)

At Table 10, Ryan Gianquitti opened pre to 1,200, with Bradley Hinson flatting the button.  After the small blind folded, Derrick Cutler three-bet to 4,000 from the big, with Gianquitti and Hinson making the call.  The three watched as the dealer fanned out a 3 6♠ 5 flop, with Cutler continuing with a 5,000 bet.  The two players both called once again, and after the board paired with the 3♣ on the turn, Cutler decided to check.  Ryan then put out of bet of 7,100, which was called by Hinson, and elicited a fold from Cutler. The river would bring the 8, and instead of going for what he thought would have been thin value, Ryan decided to check.  Hinson checked back, and watched Gianquitti roll over Q Q.

The pocket queens would be good to take down the 43,000 chip pot, allowing Ryan to chip up to just over 87,000.

Ryan Gianquitti - 87,400
Bradley Hinson - 20,000
