Isle Open Championship (Day 1B): Santoni Looking To Bookend A Solid Series

2017 Isle Open | Event #21
$1,500 No Limit Hold'em Isle Open Championship| $500,000 GTD
Level 5 (Blinds 200/400/50)
Total Day 1B Entries: 83

Luis Santoni (Aguada, Puerto Rico) has two cashes during this series, both final table finishes, one of which was worth over $11,500.

Luis Santoni (Aguada, Puerto Rico) is very happy with his Isle Open series, cashing for a total of $12,000 in the last three weeks, and earning this $1,500 buy-in seat through a satellite.  He had a rough start to the day, but just won a healthy pot moments ago, to help bring himself above the starting stack.

The action of the mentioned hand was picked up on the turn of a board reading 2♣ 4 J♣ 5, with Steve Karp betting out 4,500 (into a pot just under 8,000).  Luis Santoni made the call, along with Michael Marks, who was on the button.  After the K♣ completed the board, Karp would bet once again, this time for 3,600.  Santoni gave a good look at the board, before making the call, which was followed by Marks releasing his hand.

Steve Karp rolled over A♣ A, with Santoni standing from his chair, and tabling Q♣ 9♣.  The rivered flush would give Luis the pot, and bring him above starting stack for the first time today.

Luis Santoni - 34,000 (85bb)
Michael Marks - 27,000 (67bb)
Steve Karp - 10,000 (25bb)
