Isle Open Championship (Day 1B): Continuing The Trend, More Notables Names Arriving

2017 Isle Open | Event #21
$1,500 No Limit Hold'em Isle Open Championship| $500,000 GTD
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/25)
Total Day 1A Entries: 59

Ryan D'Angelo (Binghamton, NY) just joined the Day 1B field, sitting down in the Isle Poker Room for what we believe to be the first time ever.

Yesterday is was Dan Heimiller...today it's Ryan D'Angelo (Binghamton, NY), both players that are making "special appearances" in this $1,500 Isle Open Championship.  D'Angelo is a professional with over $3,038,000 in live tournament earnings, and owner of a WSOP bracelet, won last year in the $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball Event #7 ($92,338).  Ryan has six separate six-figure scores in his career, with his largest tournament cash coming during the 2010 PCA $10,000 Main Event (5th Place for $700,000).  Outside of his accomplishments on the "live felt," D'Angelo is also widely considered one of the better online players as well.

Poker aside, D'Angelo spends a lot of his time and money towards charitable efforts.  One of his focuses was the Food Gardens Foundation, a charity in South Africa that provides seeds, and helps educate people with farming techniques in the region.

Also joining D'Angelo in the late arriving crowd were names like:

Riley Fuller
Nagui Yassa
Dylan Drazen
Brian Hastings
Thomas Gari
Denna David
Steven Karp
Carmine Floreno

Players will be taking their first break at the end of this level (just a few moments), returning to Level 4, and new blinds of 150/300/50.
