Isle Open Event 1 (Day 2): Loving Drops, But Finds A Double To Recover

2017 Isle Open | Event #1

Carlos Loving (Sarasota, FL) gets a much needed double, and now has an above average chip stack.

Carlos Loving (Sarasota, FL) started Day 2 with 134,500, but found himself under the century mark just (30) minutes into the day.  That was until just moments ago, when he doubled through Michael Russo, pushing his stack close to the 200,000 mark.  After leading on the 2 4♠ 5 flop, Loving was faced with an all-in from Russo, who had him covered.  Carlos took little time before making his decision, dropping the rest of his stack in front of his cards (75,500).  Loving's Q♠ Q were up against the 6♣ 7♣ of Russo, and after the board paired with the 4on the turn, Carlos would need to fade Russo's eight outs to double.  Michael Russo slammed the table when the 7♠ hit the river, but it was in frustration...not celebration.

Russo would ship the 75,500 chips over to Loving, who is now above the chip average (172,000) for the first time this afternoon.

Michael Russo - 440,000
Carlos Loving - 185,000
