Isle Open Event 1 (Day 2): They've Always Said, "It's Not Where You Start..."

2017 Isle Open | Event #1
$175 No Limit Hold'em | $100,000 GTD
Level 23 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total Event 1 Entries: 1,239
Players Remaining: 63

Jose Delcid (Pompano Beach, FL) started Day 2 with only 55,000 in chips, but caught fire just before the money bubble, and now finds himself towards the top of the leaderboard.

We mentioned at the beginning of the day, that it doesn't really matter where someone starts Day 2, as long as they just make it there.  We've seen players go wire-to-wire with chip leads, and we've also watched players come from the bottom of the counts to prevail.  The latter is what we are seeing with Jose Delcid (Pompano Beach, FL), who came into the day with 55,000, and was 152 of 172 returning to Day 2.  Jose is now well above the chip average, and is one of the new names on the updated list of chip counts during break.

Players are on a (10) minute break, and will be returning to Level 23, with new blinds of 10,000/20,000/3,000 (434,000).  While the chip average is still above (20) big blinds, the stacks are beginning to get shallow, in this "quicker" structured event.
