Action for the third (and final) starting flight for the 2018 Battles At The Beach $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Championship (Event #14) is about to get underway, with some big things expected out of the day. To this point, there have been a combined total of (195) entries into the tournament, with (72) players successfully bagging chips for tomorrow's Day 2. The current prize pool sits at $263,250, which is just more the half the way to the $500,000 posted guarantee. A total of (171) entries are needed to reach the guarantee, and while registration stays open through two levels tomorrow, we should see the number eclipsed at some point this afternoon. Not only will we see players showing up for the first time, but satellite winners that haven't chosen a starting flight yet will be in attendance, along with players that have tried...but haven't bagged chips yet.
All of the rules stay the same, with Flight 1C players sitting down to starting stacks of 30,000 units, and playing levels that last (50) minutes. Registration is open all day, meaning players can choose to enter before play begins, all the way through the bagging process (which begins some time around 9:00-9:15pm).
Live coverage of today's flight will start with a published post of combined chip counts (from Flight 1A and Flight 1B), and will be followed the first look at players in today's early field.
