FSPC Event #4 (Flight 1D): Early Aces No Good For Wiegrefe, Cracked By Ken Sons

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 6 (Blinds 300/500/500)
Total Flight 1D Entries: 113

Ken Sons may have left Jamie Wiegrefe with just six big blinds after cracking his pocket aces, but Jamie is making a solid effort at trying to grind back to starting stack.

Just like Rodney Moret-Rojas yesterday, pocket aces were cracked early, this time held by Jamie Wiefgrefe (Miami, FL).  We approached Table 11 just as Wiegrefe, who chopped the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD) in May, shoved over a bet from Ken Sons.  On the K♣ 8♠ 9♣ flop, there was no version of Ken laying down A♣ K♠, and he would be at risk after calling.  Wiegrefe turned over his A A♠, and winced in disgust, after the dealer placed down the K on the turn.  There would be no miracle river for Wiegrefe, who would be left with 3,000 chips, after matching the stack of Sons.

Ken Sons - 33,000 (66bb)
Jamie Wiegrefe - 3,000 (6bb)
