Isle Open Event 7 (Day 2): McKoy Making Move As Field Closes In On The Money

2017 Isle Open | Event #7
$360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 18 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/500)
Total Entries: 941
Players Remaining: 92

Steve McKoy (Birmingham, AL) has made a move from the middle of the pack to begin the day, to a top fifteen stack in the field...all in a matter of an hour.

The field is now less than ten eliminations from the money, with "hand-for-hand" play beginning when (85) players remain.  One of the biggest moves up the leaderboard to this point has been from Steve McKoy (Birmingham, AL), a regular in the highest-stakes cash games here at the Isle.  McCoy started the day with 154,000, but after an hour of Day 2 play, is now sitting with over 400,000.  Steve has over $940,000 in tournament earnings, as is the owner of an Isle Open trophy, won during last year's series.  McKoy won Event #5 of the series ($570 No Limit Hold'em), taking home $39,000 for his efforts.

The blog coverage will focus on the "money bubble," once that point is reached, with updated results posted as each pay jump is reached.
