Isle Open Event 7 (Day 2): Unpacking Their Bags, Day 2 Players Return To Action

2017 Isle Open | Event #7
$360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 16 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 941
Players Remaining: 127

Players are getting ready for Day 2 of Event #7 ($360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD), with (127) hopefuls (from 941 entries) looking to grab their share of the $287,005 prize pool.  Of those players returning to play today, a total of (83) will reach the money, with a min-cash in the tournament worth $685.  With the payouts posted earlier this morning, all eyes were on the "top tier," with six of the ten final table spots paying over five-figures.  The $51,925 first place prize is one of the largest we've seen for an event of this price-point, with even the runner-up scheduled to take home a cash north of $36,000.

With levels transitioning to (40) minutes, it should be a little while before the money is reached, but those first few hours are some of the most important of the day.  Those at the top of the chip counts, like Martin Culotta (493,500), Georges Boyadjian (381,500), Reynel Hernandez (359,500), and Erik Nomberg (353,500), all have competition that are going to do their best to surpass what they have.

The chip average coming into Day 2 is 148,000, which equates to more than (35) blinds, so play will continue pretty deep for most of the day.  "Live blogged coverage" begins the moment the cards are in the air, and will continue through the event's conclusion.
