Sunday, October 15th: Event #7 Players Return For Day 2, Crowning Two More Isle Open Winners

ICYMI: As expected, yesterday final pair of flights drew the largest fields, of the six that were played over the last three days.  A combined total of (410) entries made up the final two flights, which brought the running total for the event to (941).  It's an outstanding number, which equates to an incredible prize pool of $287,005.  The official payouts have not yet been released, but one can surmise that first place will be more than the $40,000 that was predicted.  Of the total number of entries, (127) players will be returning to play this afternoon (12:00pm), and will play down to an eventual winner (whether it's outright...or a chop).  Day 2 seating assignments can be found by clicking here.

Breaking down to yesterday's final pair of starting flights, the afternoon action (Flight 1E) saw registration close with (204) total entries.  Once the final hands were dealt (at the end of Level 15), it would be Martin Culotta (Florida) bagging the flight's (and overall Day 2) chip lead, with 493,500.  That total ended up being over 100,000 more than his nearest competitor, who happened to also be the Flight 1C chip leader (Georges Boyadjian | 381,500).  A total of (26) would bag chips from the flight, leaving one more starting flight to be played...

...The final flight (flight 1F) attracted the largest field of the six, with a total of (206) entries.  From that number, there would be (31) players moving on to today's Day 2, led by Reynel Hernandez (Miami, FL), who bagged 359,500.  Reynel's total ended up being good for third overall stack returning for Day 2.

Coverage of Day 2 will begin the moment the cards get in the air (just after 12:00pm), and will continue until a winner is declared.

Tournaments: The "second major" event on the 2017 Isle Open schedule concludes today, with (127) players returning for Day 2, which begins at 12:00pm.  The only "structural" difference in Day 2 is the length of levels, which transition to (40) minutes each, after being (30) minutes long during all starting flights.

For those players that bust out in the afternoon, or others than have been waiting for a "new" Isle Open tournament to start, Event #8 ($100 No Limit Hold'em "DeepStack Turbo Bounty" | $5,000 GTD).  The tournament is structured with players sitting down to 18,000 units, with levels of (15) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 10, with an optional add-on at the end of registration ($25 for 10,000 units, with 100% of the add-on money going towards the prize pool).  This same tournament was on the schedule last Sunday night, and attracted a field of (88) entries, and a prize pool close to $8,000.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am (Friday morning), players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.
