Isle Poker Classic Event #1 (Day 2): Devond Marshall Knocks Two Out, Eclipses The 500,000 Mark

2018 Isle Poker Classic (Event #1)
$200 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack"
$100,000 GTD
Level 18 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/8,000)
Total Event #1 Entries: 1,007
Event #1 Players Remaining: 109

Devond Marshall (Miami, FL) has now climbed to the top twenty on the Day 2 leaderboard, after eliminating two players, and collecting a 260,000 pot.

At Table 7, Steven Kaplan would shove (from under-the-gun) his ten big blind stack (84,000), with Lukas Pribyl calling from UTG+1 (leaving himself just 6,000 back).  Action then folded around to David Marshall, who was in the small blind.  After getting the exact count on the all-in, Marshall raised to 175,000, hoping to clear out Kerry Keena out.  Keena wasn't too quick to release his big blind, but eventually folded after a few minutes, telling the table he had pocket sevens.  The three active players then tabled their hands, with Marshall having both of his opponents at risk:

Marshall: A♠ K♠
Pribyl: A Q
Kaplan: A Q

Runout: 9♠ 8♣ 75♠ 7

The board ran out clean for Marshall, with his A K good enough to take down the sizable pot, and eliminate his opponents from play.  Keena would have flopped a set, and rivered quads...had he decided to play.  Devond is just a few weeks removed from his six-figure score at Hard Rock, and hopes to continue that good run through this event.

Devond Marshall - 520,000 (65bb)
