Carey Pickus (Palm Beach, FL) made wha could be perceived as a loose call on the money bubble, which has worked out in her favor...as she is now one of the top ten stacks in the field.

When the field was on the money bubble, Carey Pickus (Palm Beach, FL) had ten percent of her stack posted (between the big blind and ante), with action folding around to the small blind.  Having Pickus covered, the small blind announced himself all-in, with Carey quickly making the call.  Her opponent thought he was in bad shape with A♠ 8, but as it turned out, that was the best hand (against Carey's Q J).  Pickus ended up flopping a pair of jacks, which held through the runout, and led to an extreme heater for Carey.  Fast forward just over an hour, and Pickus is now one of the chip leaders, sitting with over 1,000,000.

Not yet in the money, there are many tournament players that would have folded her Q J...but Carey isn't just playing for a min-cash...she's looking to win this opening Isle Poker Classic event.  Pickus already has $40,946 in earnings this year, needed just $6,000 more in cashes, to make 2018 her most successful tournament year.

Carey Pickus - 1,100,000 (44bb)
