FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): As The Action Picks Up, Fradin Picks Them Off

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 20 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 19/279

Alexandre Fradin (Burgues, Spain)

After hours going by with only a handful of eliminations, we've seen four bustouts in the first (20) minutes of Level 20.  Two of those players to get knocked out fell at the hands of Alexandre Fradin, who has separated himself from the field.

Action folded around to Fradin on the button, who would open for raise, with a short-stacked Noel Atherley shoving (15) big blinds from the small blind.  After Anthony Hockaday folded his big blinds, Fradin quickly called, and turned over A♠ A.  "You really are running well," Noel said to Fradin, who turned over K♣ J♣.  The 10♠ 5♠ 8 7♣ 7♠ runout gave Atherley a glimmer of hope on the turn, but the board pairing on the river would seal his fate.  Fradin is up to 850,000, and leads the (19) remaining players in the field.  After the next elimination, the field will experience it's first full re-draw of the event, with new seating assignments posted shortly thereafter.
