2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 21 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 13/279

Joe Smith (Plantation, FL)

Joe Smith (Plantation, FL) had a roller-coaster day, coming into Day 2 above average, but then finding himself short as play reached the money.  He'd manage to find some doubles post- dinner break, and peaked at just over 300,000.  Smith was down to just 90,000 moments ago, and his pre-flop shove was called by Brandon Ageloff.  Smith's A♠ 6♣ was a dog against the A 2♠ of Ageloff, but the two would chop the hand a good portion of the time as well.  Things looked to be heading that way, until Ageloff hit a deuce on the river, sending Smith home in 15th place ($4,385).

David Barbieri (Coral Springs, FL)

David Barbieri (Coral Springs, FL) started the day below average, continued that way through the money, and found himself with just over (10) bigs at dinner break.  Barbieri managed to navigate the waters with such a short stack, playing (8-10) for close to two hours, while he watched the payouts jump.  Barbieri was all-in just moments ago (for less than 8 big blinds), with his K♣ 10♣ falling to the A♠ 7♠ of Corey Burbick.  David earns $4,385 for his 14th place finish, which is the third largest score of his career.
