FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Level Going Up, Dinner Break Drawing Near

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/500)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 25/279

Loni Harwood (Staten Island, NY)

Level 19 started just a few minutes, with blinds going up to 3,000/6,000/500 (228,000 chip average).  Play is still super deep, which is why we've seen the pace of eliminations come to a crawl.  This will be the last break before dinner, which will see players away from the tables from 6:30pm-7:15pm.

Loni Harwood came into the day with 53,000, and grinded a below average stack for most of the afternoon, until doubling through Maurice Hawkins.  Loni got it in with an 7♠ 8♣ on a 9♠ 10 5♣ board, with Hawkins holding Q 10.  She would get there with a 6♠ on the river, and use that hand to catapult her way up the leaderboard.  She now sits with 230,000, and is playing an average stack for the first time today.

Hawkins absorbed the loss, and then went on to run his stack up to over 400,000 since that hand.
