Isle Open Event 14 ($2,500 Single-Day): Lehn Out In 8th Place ($5,428), Eliminated By Richard Kirsch

2017 Isle Open | Event #14
$2,500 NLH Single-Day Series | $100,000 GTD
Level 13 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/12,000 Ante)
Total Entries: 59
Players Remaining: 7

Greg Lehn (Plantation, FL) had a solid read on his final hand against Richard Kirsch, but couldn't find a fold that would have kept him alive in the tournament.

Richard Kirsch opened the action with a raise to 40,000, with players folding around to Greg Lehn in the big blind.  "Good call Greg," Kirsch said to Lehn, as he put in the chips for a call.  The dealer then put out a flop of 6♠ 8 9♣, with Lehn checking over to Kirsch, who bet 50,000.  "Do you have anything," Lehn said to Richard (as he made the call).

"Not yet, but the next bet is going to be 400,000," Richard replied, just as the dealer placed down the 3 on the turn.  True to form, Kirsch bet 400,000 after Lehn checked, with Greg immediately going into the tank.  Lehn was visibly torn with his decision, as the bet was close to double what he had left, and he'd be eliminated if he called and lost.

Lehn eventually made the call, and although Richard said he needed a miracle heading the river, Kirsch would be well ahead with J J against Lehn's 10 10.  The river would bring the 4♣, and Greg Lehn would be eliminated in 8th place ($5,428).
