Isle Open Event 14 ($2,500 Single-Day): Jerry Wong Out In 5th Place ($9,499)

2017 Isle Open | Event #14
$2,500 NLH Single-Day Series | $100,000 GTD
Level 18 (Blinds 15,000/30,000/30,000 Ante)
Total Entries: 59
Players Remaining: 4

Jerry Wong (Plattsburgh, NY) was able to climb out from the short stack on more than one occasion, but his comeback run was cut short by Richard Kirsch.

Jerry Wong (Plattsburgh, NY) was able to double through Richard Kirsch during Level 16, which allowed him to the opportunity to climb out of the sub-ten big blind mark.  After two level though, Wong would once again find himself hovering around fifteen bigs, and after action folded to him on the button, Jerry would shove for just over 400,000.  Alex Turyansky folded his big blind, and Wong would need only to get through Richard Kirsch.

"I really hate doubling you up," Kirsch said, after looking down at his hand.  "But I call," Richard said with a smile, as the rest of the table got a little laugh.  Kirsch would actually be ahead with A 3♠, against Jerry's K♠ Q♣, with the A 5♣ J 4♣ 9 runout sealing the win for Kirsch.
