Isle Open Event 14 ($2,500 Single-Day Series): A New Champion Will Be Crowned, As Ian O'Hara Is Eliminated In 6th Place ($8,142)

2017 Isle Open | Event #14
$2,500 NLH Single-Day Series | $100,000 GTD
Level 15 (Blinds 8,000/16,000/16,000 Ante)
Total Entries: 59
Players Remaining: 5

While it's not the result he wanted, Ian O'Hara (Boca Raton, FL) does keep his streak of "Single-Day Series" cashes going... with a first place, third place, and now sixth place in the three "Single-Day's" run to this point.

Ted McNamara opened from under-the-gun to 40,000, with players folding to Alex Turyansky, who flatted on the button.  Ian O'Hara would then shove from the small-blind (for just over 450,000), with McNamara four-bet shoving for over 1,200,000.  Turyansky folded his hand, and O'Hara would be at risk, holding A♠ J♠ against McNamara's K K.  The pocket kings would hold through the runout, and O'Hara would be eliminated in sixth place ($8,142).  Ian is the only player to have cashed in each of the first three "Single-Day Series," including a first and third place finish (in addition to this evening's result).
