Isle Open Event 14 ($2,500 Single-Day): Jaffe's Title Defense Cut Short By Barry Hutter

2017 Isle Open | Event #14
$2,500 NLH Single-Day Series | $100,000 GTD
Level 10 (Blinds 3,500/7,000/7,000 Ante)
Total Entries: 59
Players Remaining: 15

The defending champ of this event (Jonathan Jaffe) was all-in moments ago, shoving from early position for just under (14) big blinds (80,000).  Action folded around to Barry Hutter, who ended up making the call out of the small blind.  Ian O'Hara released his hand from the big, and once the hands were tabled, it would be Hutter holding the pre-flop lead.  Barry's 10 10 were safe against Jaffe's A 9 on the Q 9 6 flop, but he'd still need to fade the turn and river, in order to stop Jaffe's title defense.  The 4 on the turn made things a little harder for Jaffe, who would be eliminated from the field after the board paired on the river (Q).

After Jaffe's elimination, the field would experience the first of two redraws for the tournament, with the new seating assignments listed below.
