Isle Open Event 14 ($2,500 Single-Day): Wong Under The Radar No More

2017 Isle Open | Event #14
$2,500 NLH Single-Day Series | $100,000 GTD
Level 11 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/8,000 Ante)
Total Entries: 59
Players Remaining: 14

Jerry Wong (Plattsburgh, NY) may be trying to hide behind Greg Lehn, but it's going to be hard to stay out of view after winning a 725,000 pot against Rafael Calero.

The action leading up to Jerry Wong's (Plattsburgh, NY) double-up is currently unknown, but Table 1 was approached just as the dealer was cutting down Jerry's stack (334,000).  Wong's winning hand (7♠ 8♠) was still face up, along with the full board, which read 4♣ 5 6 2♣ J.  Wong had flopped the nut straight, and got his chips in against Rafael Calero.

Rafael was fortunate enough to have Wong covered, but would be left with less than ten bigs after shipping the double Jerry's way.  Calero managed to stay alive for another (20) minutes, but was eliminated from the field just minutes ago.

Jerry Wong - 725,000
