Francklin Michel's (Miami, FL) magical carpet ride ended short of his ultimate goal, but he doubled his lifetime earnings with this result alone.

Just like Ido Ashkenazi before him, Francklin Michel (Miami, FL) did a noble job at the final table, surviving with a sub-twenty big blind stack for hours.  Michel came back from the last break with less than five bigs, and after getting involved in a pot without committing his full stack, he'd be left with just two ante.  Michel got those remaining chips in, and had to watch a K 9 5 9♣ 7 runout, with Sheldon Gross and Justin Harvell checking it down.  Harvey ended up making a flush on the river, but even his king-high was good against Michel's J♠ 8♣.

Franklin's career earnings coming into this tournament were just over $2,611, so to say that this tournament was a highlight for his resume, would be an understatement.  The final table is now six-handed, with Noel Atherley and Justin Harvell leading the way.
