Sunday, October 22nd: Day 2 Of Event #15 Headlines Schedule, Two More Isle Open Champions Crowned

ICYMI: When Day 1B of Event #15 started (yesterday afternoon), there was a valid interest in whether the tournament would reach its posted guarantee of $150,000.  The flight needed a total of (91) entries, or that same total between Saturday's action, and the players to buy-in before the cards today (Sunday).  The pace of entry was strong from the minute the cards got in the air, and after a rush later arriving players (and "flips" run during breaks), the number would be eclipsed an hour before dinner break.  The second starting flight would officially close with (111) entries, and after twelve full levels of play, (22) players bagged chips for this afternoon's Day 2.  Sheldon Gross (Hillsboro Beach, FL) bagged the "chip leader bonus," with 221,300, which also happens to lead the overall field heading into today's action.  Some others to bag from the Day 1B flight included Kenneth Bruno (215,300), Joseph Marchese (158,800), Justin Harvell (148,600), and Martin Culotta (131,000).

Tournaments: Event #15 continues this afternoon, with Day 2 action beginning at 12:00pm.  Players still have the opportunity to buy into this tournament, with registration open until the cards are in the air.  With action resuming in Level 13 (800/1,600/200), anyone who decides to enter today will be joining the action with (12.5) big blinds.  While it seems like an uphill climb, we've seen numerous players experience success...and even make final table runs with these Day 2 buy-ins.  The only change in structure today is the level length, which transitions to (50) minutes at the start of the day, and continues through the completion of the tournament.

The 2017 Isle Open continues this afternoon, with Event #16 beginning this afternoon (2:00pm).  The $350 No Limit Hold'em event is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows), with the window closing at approximately 6:20pm.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am (Friday morning), players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.
