CPPT Event #1 (Day 2): Marc Duquette Exits In 12th Place ($3,420), Field Now On The Final Table Bubble

2018 Card Player Poker Tour (Isle Casino Pompano Park)
Event #1 | $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 24 (Blinds 20,000/30,000/30,000)
Total Event #1 Entries: 759
Event #1 Players Remaining: 11

Marc Duquette (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) almost made back-to-back major final tables, but ran into a very hot Alexander Perez, who has almost tripled his stack since dinner.

Just over one month removed from his FSPC $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Championship Event final table finish, Marc Duquette's Event #1 falls short of a back-to-back performance.  Marc shoved for 400,000 from under-the-gun, and would be called by Alexander Perez, who was in the small blind:

Perez: A♠ K♣
Duquette: A♣ 10♣

Runout: A J 6 7♠ Q♣

Both players spiked an ace on the flop, but Marc still needed to see running straight cards, or a ten on the turn or river.  Neither would amount, and Duquette would exit the tournament in 12th place ($3,420), just two spots short of the final table.
