In a unfortunate scenario, Michael Kopjanski (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) was just eliminated in 8th place by David Coughlin. David opened the pot with a raise to 125,000, with Kopjanski tossing out 150,000...unable to see David's cards (and action). Michael thought he was the opener, but was then bound to a call, with players folding behind. The flop then came out 8♠ 5♥ 5♦, with the chips getting in after a 3♠ on the turn. Kopjanski held Q♠ Q♣ against Coughlin's 8♣ 8♥, and would need to hit a two-outer on the river to survive.
No ladies would arrive on the river, with Kopjanksi left to wonder what would have happened...had he known there was an open (and had three-bet his queens).
