CPPT Event #1 (Flight 1B): After Bubbling The Money In Flight 1A, Raminder Singh Heads To Registration Break As Chip Leader

2018 Card Player Poker Tour (Isle Casino Pompano Park)
Event #1 | $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Flight 1B Entries: 93

Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) has shown a propensity to amass big stacks in quick fashion, which is exactly what he's done this afternoon.

Anyone who has ever played with Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL), knows that he sometimes acts with reckless abandon in the early stages of events, which has worked out for him.  As the tournament enters the later stages, he seemingly turns a switch, and brings the "a-game."  Last night he ran into a cooler, and ended up bubbling the money in Flight 1A, but quickly put that behind him.

Singh joined the Flight 1B action just over an hour ago, and over that span, he's managed to win himself a good amount of pots.  Most recently, he'd be all-in against Peter Striano, holding 8♠ 2♠ on a Q♠ 6 2♣ 2 board.  Striano had A♣ Q, and needed one of the two remaining queens in the deck to stay alive, but the river would be unkind.  Singh scooped up Peter's remaining stack (which was close to 17,000), which brought his count to 85,000.  That happens to be the largest stack in the field, as the remaining Flight 1B players prepare to head on their second break of the day.

Raminder Singh - 85,000 (106bb)

Once play resumes in Level 9, registration for Flight 1B will be closed, and we will bring you all of the relevant numbers to this second flight.
