CPPT Event #1 (Flight 1B): Getting Used To Two Cards, James Gunter Looking To Find A Bag

2018 Card Player Poker Tour (Isle Casino Pompano Park)
Event #1 | $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/300)
Total Flight 1B Entries: 68

James Gunter (Wausheka, WA) clearly doesn't need much sleep to feel "refreshed," as he took his seat in the Flight 1B field moments ago, after finishing up a cash session at 3:00am this morning.

Having just moved to Florida, James Gunter (Waukesha, WA) has been "finding his footing" in the poker community, searching for a room that suits his liking.  Gunter is primarily a mixed-game player, so the everyday 8/16 O.E. that runs here at the Isle immediately caught his eye.  James has even helped spread some new games into the mix, as a very draw-heavy (Baduecy, Badacey, 2-7 Triple Draw) mix has been played a few times over the last week.  Gunter was playing said mixed game until 3:00am this morning, but after managing a few hours of sleep, is now in the Flight 1B field.

Gunter's tournament resume only shows one result, which actually came a few weeks ago, during the SHRPO.  He ended up winning (outright) the $360 H.O.R.S.E. event, besting poker legend "Miami" John Cernuto, during heads-up play.  The result was worth $8,514, and is a nice start to what Gunter hopes is a blossoming tournament career.

James headlines the second look at notables in the Flight 1B field, joining the following players:

Paul Shafran
Donald Gordon
Steven Olivier
Moshe Wasser
Tamra Pideret
David Poces
Rami Ezra
Elizabeth Hagensick
Jacquelyn Scott

Players will be taking their first break at the end of this level, returning to Level 5, and new blinds of 200/400/400.
