FSPC Event #9 (Day 2): Mark Shulla Eliminated In 7th Place ($10,952)...By None Other Than Raj Vohra

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #9 | $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 24 (Blinds 15,000/30,000/30,000)
Total Event #9 Entries: 341
Event #9 Players Remaining: 6

Matt Shulla (Ponte Vedra, FL) plays mostly at Best Bet, but came down here to visit family, and made the most of a schedule that allowed him to play this event.

Mark Shulla (Ponte Vedra, FL) entered Level 24 as the shortest stack, and just six hands into the level, he'd be at risk.  After opening the action with a raise to 65,000, Mark would watch as Raj Vohra cut out a three-bet to 230,000.  The players behind folded, and once action was back on Shulla, he'd go all-in for 530,000.  Raj immediately made the call, and the cards went on their backs:

Shulla: A Q
Vohra: A♠ A♣

Runout: A 3♠ 3♣ 3 K♣

Mark would seemingly be drawing dead on the flop, but actually had outs to a chop after the third three came on the turn.  His hopes were quickly dashed after the king on the river, meaning Raj would score his third elimination at the final table.
